Lots 'o driving

If my friend Dave ever invites you to his place in Tucson, you should go. Not only do you get to lounge around on some pretty comfy furniture, but I have no doubt that you will eat so much food, you won't be able to move from said furniture. :-)

Brian picked me on Saturday morning to help Dave move the new furniture in. Heavy stuff, that furniture. The following day, we autocrossed in Sierra Vista. It was:

  1. My first time autocrossing on concrete
  2. My first time autocrossing on street tires in a couple years
  3. My first time driving either Brian or Dave's cars, both of which are much more civilized than mine. ;-)

The course itself was pretty boring, basically two loops. It was still a good time, a good learning experience, and it was probably 10°F cooler than the Phoenix area. I got sunburned once again, despite trying to stay in the shade. Sierra Vista really needs online pre-registration. Between the three of us there were six entries in two cars, and only four run groups. As could be expected, that didn't work out too well. Timing got all messed up, and I'm not even sure if they have my timing sheets or not. Oh well.
