Its been a while...

Yeah, so I haven't added any entries in a while. No excuses on my part. I'll put a whole bunch of them in one big post.

October 12th was a local autocross. Brandon was co-driving my car, and I was only able to beat him by a few tenths. ;-) I scored a 941, not bad at all. Clayton made his first appearance in his new-to-him S2000. Brian suffered through a not-so-well-setup Miata, and has probably now fallen behind in the series points. :-P

October 26th was an autocross in Tucson, and my first chance to use the GEEZ! cube I bought from a local autocrosser. Brian was co-driving, and I thought it would be cool to see how his runs compared to mine. While I pax'd fairly well (955), he slaughtered me and most of the field with a 984, the second-highest pax score of the day. For an under-prepared car, I'm very happy with that score - even if I wasn't driving. I haven't had a chance to look at the geez data yet, but what little I've looked at it shows that Brian carries just a little more speed through every single corner. How I'll manage to do that, I don't know. The Tucson season is half over, so I just need to go to one more event to qualify for a series trophy.

Today was another autocross, local again. Nobody co-driving my car this time. I put down a pretty decent time and pax'd a 944. Pretty consistent over the last 3 months here - 943, 941, 944. I think a goal of 950 next month is a good target to shoot for. I ran seven tenths faster in Time Only's, which would have been good for a 960, but hit a cone right at the end of the run. Brian got suckered in to co-driving a car on old, old tires (two of them were mine that I gave away six months ago when they were already almost two years old!). As a result, it was probably his lowest pax score EVAR (well, maybe in the last couple years). I've locked in the first-place DSP Open trophy - not hard to do when nobody else will even qualify - so next month I might try driving someone else's car, if they'll let me!

Check out Evan's phlog. Random pics taken from his camera phone.

Yeah, haven't updated the car of the week in a while. Nothing has really inspired me to do so. I thought about putting the new Ford GT up there, and while the stats are impressive, it's still a Ford. :-P
