A while back, Microsoft recalled a bunch of Xbox power cables because there was a small chance that they could cause a fire. I got a letter in the mail saying that I had one of the units with the old style cable, and I could request a new one.
I really didn't care, so I did nothing.
What do I get in the mail yesterday? New Xbox power cable! It came with a letter that went something like this:
"We noticed that you purchased an Xbox made before x, and have not requested a new power cable. Here is your new power cable."
As far as I can tell it looks like the same cable with a warning tag, I don't know. I suppose I have to get out the old one and compare. :-P
