Last week I found a pair of Schroth Rallye 4 harness for pretty cheap, so with the help of Brian and Clint they made it into my car on Saturday in time for the autocross in Sierra Vista on Sunday.
After adjusting the seat properly, I think they worked out really well. The SV event was held on the concrete pad at the airport, and while most of the course was rather forgettable, the final slalom was the most fun segment I've run in a while. I was outpaxed by a kart out of nowhere (I thought he coned his runs), but I'm still very happy with a 997, and the car felt great. The site was even kind on the tires, and I think I'll be able to get one more event out of them. Not bad for 154 runs now!
I think it was back in the end of November when I contacted Rick for some new camber plates and mini battery kit. The plates are just new top plates, so I'll be re-using the old center sections on my Cusco plates.
They should give me more caster, and the ability to get more camber if I want it (though I'm not sure I do).
As far as I can tell, this is all there is to the battery "kit":
So, basically just a top plate for a small battery, and the stock tray is maintained. Clint should be picking up a PC680 from Fred right about now, and both the battery and camber plates should go on just before the Tucson event in a couple weekends.
