I finally graduated!

Yeah, it's about time. People gave me plenty of nice graduation gifts, and thanks to all that came to my party. I had a good time. Finally, a chance to catch up on all those video games I've been missing out on.

Right now I'm renting Secret Weapons Over Normandy. It's not too bad, but the controls are a little weird at first. Both pitch and roll are on the same analog stick. The other stick is for yaw and throttle. After a little practice, it wasn't that bad. Planes go down in a satisfying ball of flames. Not worth $50, imo, but worth renting.

Trying to work my way through Project Gotham Racing (the first one) as well. I've made it through pretty easily so far, but arcade mode is killing me. You need a gold in all 4 cone challenges to unlock cars, and I've only managed one of the four. I still can't drift in a "straight" line, which apparently is necessary to get the big combo kudo moves. Meh. The street race section is easier, but I'm having a hard time with the "very hard" level. Given that you get a pair of Ferraris for getting gold on all four, I can see why they make it tough, but it's definitely a lot tougher than "hard".

Tiger Woods 2004 is still a lot of fun. I'm still in the process of building up my character while making my way through the PGA Tour season. I'm still shooting in the low 60's, occasionally the high 50's. Not quite ready for online play, but maybe soon.

I haven't really touched Halo that much. I mean, I played through a bunch of it in co-op mode a while back, and I don't know that I really want to go through it again, despite the fact that I need the practice. It'll be good to have for xbox lans, however. With renting being so expensive these days, it's worth it to pick it up, even if you'll only need it a few times. Anyway, I've played the first level or two, that's about it so far.

Hopefully I'll get a few good games for Christmas, otherwise I'll just have to go out and buy them myself. Castlevania, DDR, PGR2, Ghost Recon...so many games out there worth getting.

New Car of the...uh...Moment

I said to Teresa, "quick, name a cool car!" The Diablo was her response. :-D

What a gift!

The other day, Brian and Dave gave me an Xbox for graduation/Christmas. Quite the surprise. Also got Project Gotham Racing and a Blue Controller S. Yesterday Teresa bought me Halo, and I bought the S-video/optical audio pack. Now I have yet another reason to buy an HDTV. I should have Live! and MechAssault on or shortly after Christmas, that'll be nice. Can't wait to finish up finals, so I can put some good time into it!

Thanks guys!

I'm not good at writing updates

So I'll try harder, but no promises! Same goes for that "Car of the 'Week'".

Found it!

Yes, the mp3 player was in fact in the pocket of the pants I wore that day. When I realized it was missing, I must have checked the wrong pair of pants! It got dressed this morning and found it. :-D

Ah, good weekend

Thursday, two Thanksgiving dinners! Plenty of turkey, vegetables, etc.

Friday I got up early for the annual day-after-thanksgiving shopping at Best Buy and Circuit City with some friends. Got there around 5:30am, and the line was already quite long...we were about 5 stores from the beginning of the line (not small stores, mind you). I found a few of the things I was looking for, but not everything, unfortunately. Plenty of great deals that I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money on. I felt bad about not buying more, even.
